19-year-old Girl Became Uttarakhand Chief Minister For One Day
Shrishti Goswami, a 19-year-old girl from Daulatpur in Haridwar district of India, has been made the Chief Minister for one day by the Uttarakhand government.
Srishti has been made the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on the occasion of National Girls’ Day on January 24.
Chairperson of the Uttarakhand Child Rights Protection Commission Usha Negi has said that the government has made her the Chief Minister with the objective of spreading awareness towards women empowerment.
Expressing happiness over being made the Chief Minister one day, Srishti said that discussions will be held with different departments of the Uttarakhand government focusing on issues related to the safety of girls. On this occasion, the officials of the department will give a briefing on their work and give suggestions on the subject, said Srishti.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also participated in the program. The event will be held at a meeting hall of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Bhawan from 12 noon to 3 pm Indian time.
The news that Srishti, who is studying BSc Agriculture at BSM PG College in Roorkee, has become the Chief Minister for one day has gone viral on social media. Earlier, Srishti was elected as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Children’s Assembly in 2018 BS.
