46 women victims of human trafficking rescued from Madhesh Pradesh

46 women victims of human trafficking have been rescued by the Armed Police Force from Madhesh Pradesh. Women from different parts of the country were collected for trafficking in India.

Human traffickers have been sending Nepali girls and women to India and Gulf countries while children have been used in different circus shows.

In the fiscal year 2020/21, a total of 151 women and girls were rescued while being trafficked to India. The main forms of trafficking are for the purpose of sexual exploitation, forced labour, and removal of organs.

According to Police, human traffickers have been supplying women and adolescents to India through different checkpoints of Nepal showing false promises. Human traffickers are found to have trafficked Nepali women and children from different districts of the country, mainly Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, and Sindhuli.
