Kathmandu Metropolitan City bans parking around New Road starting Today!
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has banned parking on the roads in the New Road area of Kathmandu effective from today.
However, the metropolis has designated a free parking option at Kathmandu Tower with a capacity for 300 four-wheelers and 700 two-wheelers for people visiting the New Road area.
The KMC aims to enhance the overall traffic management and pedestrian experience in the New Road area with these measures.
Note: The restricted zone includes areas around Dharma Path, Juddha Statue to Indra Chowk, Kichhapokhari, MahaBoudha, and Bir Hospital.
