Government appoints Dipuraj Jwarchan as the acting general manager of the NAC and he is under investigation by CIAA on charges of corruption.
The government has appointed Dipuraj Jwarchan as the acting general manager of the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) who is under investigation by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on charges of corruption.
There are more than a dozen allegations against Jwarchan, including illegal acquisition of property, financial irregularities within the corporation, discrimination in the flight schedule of pilots, and appointment of a director of flight operations against legal provisions, etc.
“We are investigating the allegations including the payment from the corporation in one place”, said an official of CIAA.
It has been reported that Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Ale and Captain Dipuraj Jwarchan are close to each other.
