Man Changes Name to “Literally Anybody Else” and Announces US Presidential Run

March 28, 2024

A man in Texas, USA, has legally changed his name to “Literally Anybody Else” and announced he is running for US President in the 2024 election.

He said he wanted to change his name because he was not satisfied with this year’s presidential candidates, Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Formerly known as Dustin Ebey, the 35-year-old is a US Army veteran and seventh-grade math teacher in the suburbs of Dallas. He has now a T Texas driver’s license to prove his name change.

He requires 113,000 signatures from non-primary voters in Texas by May to include his new name on the ballots. Given the unlikelihood of achieving this, he’s advocating for people to write in his name instead.

“We lack a ‘neither’ option on the ballot, and this serves as a substitute,” he explained.

According to the candidate’s website: “Literally Anybody Else isn’t just a person; it’s a rallying cry. For too long, Americans have suffered from political parties prioritizing party loyalty over governance. Let’s unite and convey the message to Washington: ‘Represent us or step aside.’ America shouldn’t be forced to choose between the ‘King of Debt’ (his self-proclamation) and an 81-year-old.
