Nepal Marks 14th Republic Day Today

May 29, 2021

Nepal is marking 14th Republic Day today as it has completed 13 years since it was announced.

The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly (CA) elected on the foundation of the People’s movement in 2062/63 BS had declared Nepal as the Federal Democratic Republic on May 28, 2008, ending a 238-year-long Shah dynasty. One and a half decades have passed since the establishment of the Republic but no significant changes have taken place in the country as had been expected. The formation of a strong government after the abolishment of the Monarchy was highly expected to lead to a socio-economic transformation of Nepal but it didn’t really happen. Nepal still remains one of the poorest and one of the most corrupted nations in the world. Nothing much has changed!

‘TANTRA’ CHANGED, BUT THE REST REMAINED THE SAME.
SHAME!

Happy 14th Republic Day to everyone. WE ARE THE FUTURE. OUR GENERATION WILL GET TO SEE THE FINEST LEADERS IN THE COMING DAYS, LET’S BE POSITIVE. AND DON’T IGNORE POLITICS!
