Nepal’s assets need to be audited: Janardan Sharama
Speaking at the first press conference of accountants organized by the Nepal Chartered Accountants Association in Kathmandu today, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma said that the country’s assets need to be audited.
“It is time to audit poverty, trade deficit, production, agriculture, imports. I was looking for the reasons why there were problems in the audits earlier. What if there have been subtractions instead of additions, division instead of multiplication? What could be the impact? I’m afraid of bigger challenges and their consequences,” said minister Sharma.
Minister Sharma also stated that the whole country and its economy will be doomed if audits are not performed seriously.
