Renu Dahal Re-Elected as the Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolis
The common candidate for the ruling alliance Renu Dahal has been re-elected as the mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
Both the mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates of the ruling coalition have won the elections in Bharatpur Metropolitan City (BMC). Dahal received 52,030 votes and NC deputy mayoral candidate Adhikari received 52,803 votes. Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Bijaya Subedi got 39,581 votes. Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 14,728 votes.
Renu is the eldest daughter of Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center).
Dahal joined the party in 2051 BS. Sher was the deputy in charge of Rolpa during the Maoist armed conflict that began in 2052 BS.
Before the election, Prachanda had warned that Nepal would plunge into a disaster if his daughter Renu Dahal didn’t win the election in Bharatpur Metropolis.
Note: Renu Dahal had told that the last five year was just a trailer of development and she would show the full film to the people of Bharatpur Metropolis if she won the election.
