Selling of alcohol to children under 18 strictly prohibited in Suryodaya Municipality in Ilam.
In a bid to promote responsible drinking and safeguard the well-being of its youth, Suryodaya Municipality in Ilam has implemented stricter regulations. Vendors are now prohibited from selling alcohol to children under 18 years old. Additionally, residents are allowed to consume alcohol only during the specified hours of 5 pm to 9 pm.
This measure has been taken to control the trend of drinking alcohol during the daytime, and control the alcohol addiction among young people including students, said authority.
