Nepal government planning to build a ‘signature bridge’ on Narayani river, Chitwan.
A ‘signature bridge’ is to be constructed on Narayani river connecting Chitwan and Nawalparasi district. The total length of the bridge will be 400 meters & the width will be 4 lanes, according to the Department of Roads.
Director General of the Department of Roads, Arjun Jung Thapa, informed that a new bridge is being constructed as the bridge on Narayani River is getting dilapidated as it is 41 years old. He informed that preparations are being made to invite bids for the contract to build a new bridge. The bridge will be constructed on the Narayani River parallel to the existing bridge. When constructed, it will be the first of its kind in Nepal.
