Lifetime Imprisonment in Zoo – Tiger Kills a Man in Nepal

April 6, 2021

A tiger, that killed Polisram Tharu, 34, a mahout involved in the rhino counting, around the Bardiya National Park in southwestern Nepal, has brought to the Central Zoo in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur on Tuesday. The ten-year-old male tiger that killed an employee of the Park on Sunday, was taken under control in the evening the same day.

Note: Most tigers will only attack a human if they cannot physically satisfy their needs otherwise. Tigers are typically wary of humans and usually show no preference for human meat. Although humans are relatively easy prey, they are not a desired source of food. Thus, most man-eating tigers are old, infirm, or have missing teeth, and choose human victims out of desperation.
